For his contributions to the proliferation of champagne, Tsuyoshi Miyazaki, a senior sommelier of the Nara Hotel, was conferred the title of Chevalier by the Ordre des coteaux de Champagne, an institution in France, on November 24, 2016.

◆Ordre des coteaux de Champagne
The Ordre des coteaux de Champagne is a time-honored, historic institution established by nobles known as gourmets at the court of Louis XIV. Titles are conferred to champagne lovers, epicures, artists, journalists, noted persons from political and business communities and others who have put effort into the promotion of champagne. Currently about 5,000 people in the world hold these titles, 100 of them in Japan.
